NDP 2004 Prelude 1
ten more days to ndp 2004... got 2 tix for the actual day parade... actually wanted to go with someone but he cannot make it... so have to go with mum... looking forward to this year's ndp... however, some things really saddens things...
this year's theme song: home... exactly the same song as the one in 1998... however, i feel that the 1998 version is better and really music to the ears... the warmth and compassion of the song deeply touched the hearts of people...
nice arrangement of the music of this year's theme song indeed... making it into a funeral song... so dull and worse still, a choir to sing it... maybe it would be apropriate to adopt this singing style in the church holding funerals... another funny thing is that they came out with a funky version of the song... at first the song was quite nice, but through time i think that what's the point of having the song to be in a hip-hop fashion when singapore teenagers do not really care much about their homeland and country...
the music video adds oil to the fire... children dressed in black and white, using the esplanade as one of the scenes... very inappropriate, although esplanade is a singapore icon...wearing black and white clothes implies that we are celebrating the death of our nation rather than the birthday of singapore... i feels very ironic after watching the music video aired in television, as it makes me really want to puke... the song is very disgusting and the music video does not appeal to our eyes...
singapore idol is another thing that i have been looking forward to... i think that this show is actually a talent showcase of the untalented... looking at them being criticized by the judges really makes me feel very comfortable... futhermore, i don't think there will be much talent in the show... planning to listen to tv mobile on radio so that i can appeal to myself how disgusting can singaporeans sing...

Nice Days Ahead...
what a very nice day today indeed... today is really a lousy day, so many happenings, yet so many problems that arise, from teachers especially...
english lesson was such a screwup... more than half of the class did not do the newsweek article homework... kanna chase out of the classroom (computer room 3)... then went back to class early and did our own stuff... later chemistry lesson, talking cock on why mok was so harsh yesterday... i think she just thinks that she had been a bitch yesterday and even till now...
the lunch-time concert rocks... david teng and herbert playing... although i don't know what the hell they were playing, but they were not bad. early dismissal due to track and field finals that day and ep3 starts early and ends early... it's so nice to have half days... i do really hope that there would be more, however it seems impossible......
some things cannot be taken for granted...

2004.. A Tragedy...
nice year it is... i almost lost the survival battle... so many changes and stupid events happening at a go... this term is worse, yesterday rox, with the damn track and field and mok going crazy...
mok went crazy yesterday before the track and field com... throwing worksheets into the dustbin, omg, is she a human or what? but i think she's more of something else than a human.
next, track and field was quite ok, until the heavy downpour came. we were forced to cheer under the rain, but i didn't. what's the point when you are asking someone who is physically and mentally sick about cheering until like crazed fools and dancing in the rain like the joo chiat people... what's so nice about cheering in the rain when i can get sick very easily; if i get sick, i claim the money from the school hor... i don't care whether it is my fault or not... sadly, it didn't happen, besides i don't want myself to get sick because a bunch of idiots want me to get under the rain...
projects' day finals coming very soon already, another a day or more left. nothing much to do for finals seriously, just a few changes to the powerpoint and website a little here and there. my most anticipated event of the year, national day parade, is coming in 12 days' time... pity that i will miss singapore idol tv premiere, but no doubt i can listen from the radio thru tv mobile, but i bet the first episode is going to feature rotten-egg singers... just hope that singapore idol is a success and can really find singing talents in singapore, coz i think singapore is really lacking talent... and i mean a lot of talent...
